I hate to admit it but until I got this new bra, I only owned a couple of bras and wore the same one everyday until having to wash it and then wear one of the more uncomfortable ones. Why did I do this? Underwear and lingerie are something you wear everyday so I should own at least 3 or 4 bras that actually fit me right. Introducing UK Lingerie who have literally given me life.
I had a few reservations about posing in my underwear but if others are going to post photos of themselves in bikinis, then girl underwear is no different. Although I felt for Sam because he had to take a million and one photos so as not to get my side flab in shot. You know it’s an actual complex sport to breathe in and not look like you’re breathing in.
Now finding nice bras that look good for bigger cups are hard to come by. For some reason, those who have smaller boobs get the nicer designs and us big girls have to make do with the vintage, granny style numbers.
UK Lingerie do have a nice selection if you’re in the doubles like DD or FF but they still don’t have the same amount if you were a D or an F. But saying that, all of the DD options are all good designs so there’s plenty to pick from. I decided to go with Playtex Flower Elegance Underwire Bra which was £30.00. Paired with the matching Playtex Flower Elegance Midi Brief for £15.00, I’m in love with this lingerie set.
I went for white because I’ve already got a black bra and I find white goes really well when you’ve got that Summer glow. I’ve always been a sucker for lace so the detailing in this set is beautiful. I wanted a cup that covered everything rather than it being a half cup and I didn’t want any push up padding.
I think this is the perfect in between because it’s got padding underneath the bust that gives it a subtle lift and still shows off the lace against the skin.
The straps are of medium thickness so it keeps everything in place and the under-wiring of the bra doesn’t dig into my bust like others have in the past.
Overall, I’m really impressed by the set. For £45.00, it’s a great middle ground price wise and I’d happily pay for another lingerie set, perhaps something in yellow which also compliments my Summer glow currently even if it’s not a natural glow…
They also have a great selection of nightwear, shapewear and activewear which is worth checking out. I love the Promise Luxury Rigoletto Cami and Shorts Set (£54.00) and the Janira Greta Shape Flat Belly Brief (£20.00).
