Well, 2017, you came and you conquered. Reflecting on the past year, it’s been another one that’s just flown by. I’m very aware of time passing by too quickly and I’m just trying to live and enjoy my life as much as I possibly can. I’ve decided to plan my New Year’s Resolutions a little differently this year.

First of all, let’s reflect on 2017. UpYourVlog has had it’s most successful year financially. I’m super grateful for everything that I’ve received and the brands that I’ve worked with. My freelance writing has actually expanded away from my blog and I’m now writing regularly for a luxury rental website called London Perfect.
Here are some of my favourite blog posts from 2017. Some I’ve loved writing, others I’ve had a surge of views on and there are also brands that I’ve enjoyed collaborating with.

So what are my resolutions for 2018? I’ve made a few but not a bucket list because I want to complete them all.
Double my income
I know money isn’t everything but it sure does buy you nice things. 2018 is going to be the year where I double my income. I made just over a quarter of my annual salary from work on blogging in 2017. That is CRAZY. So roll on 2018 for another profitable year.
Buy a house
So me and my fiance (still getting used to calling him that) are currently invested in a Help To Buy and we’re looking at buying a property in 2018 somewhere in the North of London. It’s an exciting time and it’s an opportunity I’ve been waiting for, for so long.
Secure a venue and date for our wedding
Ever since I got engaged, I’ve been bombarded with questions on when I’m getting married, where it will be and 9385485 other questions. I hope that in the New Year, we’re able to at least find a venue and set a date for the wedding which we hope will be in 2020.
Get fit
The last six months of 2017 have been dire for my fitness and I want to get myself into a better routine when it comes to exercising. This means, putting aside at least 2 evenings a week where I can either attend a class after work or spend it working out. I want to make sure that one of those evenings involves double class sesh. C’MON!
Be more organised
And my final resolution is to be more organised. This isn’t just with blogging but with my lifestyle as well. I’m certainly not the only one who procrastinates and I need to try and get myself more motivated to work harder but to also take as much time relaxing and enjoying my life and those in it.
A big Happy New Year to you all and I would like to thank all my readers both old and new for reading my content. It means a lot.
